When the pandemic hit, one of the ways I let off steam was learning how to use GarageBand, a digital audio workstation. I never thought I'd make electronic music, but I fell in love. From putting together pre-made riffs and beats to programming my own synths and drums, it has been a wild and fun learning curve.

Poetry and music have long been friends. Read any lyrics by Eminem or Counting Crows and you'll see that it's poetry, sometimes sung to a melody. Each piece I make, I decide on a "feel" for the song based on the poetry, and I let it build itself. It's therapeutic and I think music and poetry make each other better.

On May 10th, 2021, I released my first official album, CHIASM. I now have a total of 3 albums out. You can find them all on iTunes, Amazon Music, Spotify, and BandCamp.
Iambic Beats is the artist name I chose for spoken word poetry set to music. Iambic refers to a type of poetry rhythm (as in iambic pentameter). And beats is self explanatory!
Artwork featured on this album cover is by the incredibly talented artist, Shannon Mastromonico (IG: @moth.magic).
